Today Edyln came by my home studio for a headshot shoot. A big ‘thank you’ to her for putting up with the trains, which normally run well, but of course not on a day when I have two headshot appointments coming! Anyway, I had a great time working with Edyln and listening to Spamalot (her choice of music and it was great!).

And she says she doesn’t consider herself photogenic!
This morning I headed back to Brooklyn to photograph Parker, Rory and Hudson. Camera shy these three were not! I had such a blast playing with them – the time flew by. Here are a few of my favorite shots. Thanks for such a fun morning guys!

Just got in from photographing Alyssa and Lauren’s Sweet Sixteen! It’s 1:45am and I’m up for another shoot in four hours time, so I’m throwing one image up here (the first one I pulled of my memory card!) and heading to bed. More pictures to come and a full gallery will be available [click here] and enter the Event ID “Alyssa_Lauren”.

(update: before heading out to my shoot this morning, I emptied my memory cards from last night and wanted to add these…)

Today I had the pleasure of spending time with little Alex (just six weeks old!) and his mom. Alex was a total trooper, staying awake the entire time (the image with his eyes shut he was faking it!). There was also something sort of moving about photographing a newborn as our new president was being sworn into office.
Here are a few shots from today.
I photographed him through the mesh of his crib. The resulting texture made me think of an aged photo so I played a bit with the image.

Alex acting.

Probably my favorite… so far.

Last night I attended Foundation Magazine’s 9th Issue Release Party at Don Hill’s downtown. It was a great time. Here are a few photos of the night’s performances.

Gotta love perfect placement of a mirror!

A favorite of mine.

I completely adore Coney Island (as most New Yorkers with a love of Photography most likely do). While I’m on a bit of a break, I’m trying to archive and organize some old photos. Below is a bit of a hodgepodge of Coney Island photos found. It’s making me want to scan old negatives, because I know I have loads of Coney Island photos on film… but that’s a project for 2010.
