Meet little Gavin!
On Friday afternoon I spent some time with Gavin and his family. He’s a totally adorable newborn and I’m really excited to share a sneak peek with you! Stay tuned for more adorableness…

On Wednesday, I headed to Bay Ridge for Sam and Lee’s engagement session. I had such a great time getting to know them – it made me super excited to photograph their wedding next month!
When I turned up to their apartment, they had set up their Scrabble board to be photographed. For those who don’t know, I’m a scrabble fanatic, so this was very very exciting to see and a great way to start off the shoot!

I know I’ve said this every time, but of all my ‘best of…’ blogs, this was by far the hardest. I am so thankful for the amazing wedding season I had in 2009 and I am really looking forward to 2010. I can just tell it’s going to be equally as amazing. As I rebuild my website, I kept revisiting wedding galleries, sorting images, pulling new favorites and in the end I had 109 (yep 109) choices for ‘best of weddings…” Finally I decided to quit thinking and just go with my gut. I chose the ten images that just stood out in my mind. The images that comes to mind when I think of “Joanne and Kevin” or “Dana and Anthony” and their wedding days, their guests, their moments. When I put the images together, I felt that they said a lot about me as a photographer. Enough talking about them. Here are my best of weddings 2009.

Right now I’m in the process of updating my website, so please excuse its messiness! 2009 came and went so quickly and I don’t think I took the time to update my site more than once… oops! So as part of my new year plans, I’m taking the time to add new galleries (yippee!) and new features to bring my site up to speed. After all it is 2010!
Since the site is currently down, I wanted to make sure the blog is as current as can be. This past weekend I kicked the new year off in style with a wonderful (and absolutely freezing!!!) wedding shoot in lower Manhattan. Despite the unbearable temperature, we got some pretty amazing shots! Here are my favorite two so far. More to come though!

I’m so happy to be posting my best of engagement shoots for 2009. It was only mid-2009 that I began including engagement shoots as a part of my wedding package, but I’ll never go back! I have found that brides and grooms who take advantage of engagement shoots feel more at ease being photographed on their wedding day. They know how I work and we both get to know each other’s personalities more. It’s like a dress rehearsal!
