Queens County Farm Museum Wedding – Jenessa and Dan are Married!

Jenessa and Dan are awesome! When I first met up with them to talk about their wedding, they had so many DIY ideas that could easily stress a couple out. But they pulled off everything just perfectly with the help of some really crafty friends and family members. The Queens County Farm Museum is a really charming venue and it fit the vibe of their intimate, detail-oriented wedding quite well. Scroll down and check out their amazing cake(s) made by the bride’s mother and step-father! It was so nice to see so many people working together to make their day flawless. Me and My iPhone – Kauai (so far)

So I’m in Kauai and it’s awesome. The twelve hour flight spread across nearly 20 hours of travel, not so awesome, but being here is like a dream come true. Really, I mean it. In the third grade we had to pick a state to make a 3-D poster of and I was dying to get Hawaii. As my teacher went up and down our alphabetical rows I was praying no one would say Hawaii before me. And they didn’t! So I made this (awesome) 3-D map of Hawaii and fell in love, never thinking that I’d ever get the chance to not only be here, but to work here?!? Amazing. Simply amazing.

I’ve been here two days now and (aside from some minor sleeping issues and a cough) it’s been just fabulous. Today is the big wedding day (!) so I thought I would post a few iPhone photos of what I’ve enjoyed so far.

Brooklyn Promenade Surprise Proposal!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of capturing another Brooklyn Promenade surprise proposal. I always get super nervous at surprise proposals – butterflies in tummy and all. This one was no different. But everything went (nearly!) according to plan and the rain held out for us (phew!). Oh, and she said yes!

A big thank you to Alec Stephens and Bill Bartholomew the musicians who helped make the proposal super romantic!

Addison Park Wedding, New Jersey – Diane and Nick are Married!

I am so excited to share Diane and Nick’s wedding on the blog today! The two were married at Addison Park in New Jersey – an absolutely stunning venue. Everything there, from start to finish was perfectly executed, visually pleasing and delicious! I hadn’t met Nick or Diane before the wedding, which is rare for me, so I’m going to admit I was a little bit nervous! But as soon as I met them, instantly I felt like family. I’m not sure what’s going on this year but it has, so far, been a year of crazy fun weddings – I’m loving it! Diane and Nick were a breeze to work with and to photograph and their family and friends were awesome to be around. I loved every second of their day and I hope their images illustrate just how much love and joy filled the air.
